Thanks, Nanners ... Good article! First time I've heard of "Fingerling Potatoes". I've never seen them around here ... maybe in a specialty shop in Victoria? Anyway, I'll keep my eyes open as they sound interesting. Abby |

I'm still lookin for poms. I stopped at the market yesterday and they told me about 2 more weeks. I did pick up some kiwis. I always forget about pumpkin. They had tons of those. I'll get some tomorrow. Very good article. Peggy |

We still don't have poms either. Now, tell me why Dunduey, who lives between us, gets them and we don't. Annie |

Fingerling potatoes are being prepared & served in some of the trendier restaurants. We tried a new restaurant with friends this summer and my boyfriend's hanger steak came wtih fingerling potatoes. We have poms in the stores (Kroger) but they are the small ones- not the jumbo ones I am used to... so still holding out...cuz not paying the "jumbo" size PRICE for the apple size poms. Haven't been to the farmer's market in a couple weeks. Need to go soon cuz I am out of Pookie's Kashi stuff that I cook. |

Thanks, Ring. I'll have to keep my eyes open for them, although it's possible they just haven't made it up across the border yet. Abby |

My guys really dont like fruit that much. You really have to be careful with fruit anyway because of mold. They love fruit cocktail, and the tropical fruit mix in the can but never seem to eat fresh fruit. I really think it pertains to what they believe is ripe compared to what we do. I can get them to eat banannas on the green side but that is about it. |
