It is merely a Heavenly Name by which God calls his people. So is the term, Jew. That is not a race of people. Is not Abraham the Father of the Hebrews? Of course he is. Does not the Word of God tell us that he was born a SYRIAN? Of course it does. So maybe we better go learn Syrian, huh? God's word was in the Heavenly unknown tongue. It was translated into Hebrew, supposedly by Moses. And yet we are told God did not permit any translations of His Word. Such a hideous lie. God moved on Holy Men to translate the Word. They were faithful to God and the Word. They had no ugle, sinful ulterior motives, as these sacred name liers do today. They are the ENEMIES OF JESUS, OF WHOM PAUL WARNED US. Know what? If there are no true translations of the Word, then we do not even know if there ever was such a person as a son of God, now do we? After all, what teaches us that, except the Holy KJV of the Word, or some other TRANSLATION. How do we know there ever was a Paul? or a crucifixion? See, if there are no translations of the Word, no one knows any of this, for there is no way to know. I almost guarantee you, that original Hebrew is NOT KNOW BY A LIVING SOUL TODAY. So who is going to read the Word of God and tell all the rest of the world any truth? There is no way of salvation, according to this lie. People wake up! Think! See where this lie puts everyone? Without any hope in this world, for God kept His truth from all except the ancient Jews. And that included you, Echo, Eric, and all the rest of you who so verhemently teach and believe this hideous LIE. Let it go on the record that Jo Smith loves and fully believes Jesus and the Holy KJV. I have a personal relationship with My God and Jesus, not some made up imagenary stuff; real stuff which most people know not one thing about. He has done incredible things in my life and for me. This is another one I had forgotten. It is very good. We have sent it back a good number of times. to no avail, I suppose. anyway, I am moving it to a special board. Did not realize that the Sacred Name board did not even have one message on it till now. Isaiah, where are those messages you had here on this sacred name stuff? I thought you had already placed them onto this board. Didn't you set this board up? I do not remember doing it. I guess you must have just sent those messages back around again. I thought you had posted them on this new board? We need to find them again and post them here. Lots of work and time, I know. and sometimes I wonder why I even bother. Does anyone even care? Does anyone really read these things and learn? I do not know, but I do know I am doing what I feel God has for me to do. |

Isaiah, I also felt sure you had made a special board and posted these. That is why I was so surprised when I could not find it. Yes, Eric, Jesus did come in his father's name. He said my Father SENT ME, I DID NOT COME OF MY OWN ACCORD. He said I do always the things which please my Father. His Father's name is NOT Jesus. His Father's name is LORD GOD. |

Amen!! God loves Jewish people, Hindu people, Asian people of all races, Australian Outbackers and people who belong to teensy tribes we've never heard of. He desires all people to come to a saving knowledge of Him through the *person* of His only Son.
I am truly sorry if someone has come around beating you over the head with the "true" pronunciation (which by the way there is actualy basis for due to the fact that Yahweh is in fact a Hebrew *verb* - which means I am .)
That is terrible.. But to turn around and say that makes anyone who uses the name Yahweh or Yeshua evil is just as evil for the same reason..
That is what I'm trying to say. Don't you see that you are judging them by the same wrong standards you have been judged due to what some wrong people have done to you? Which is truly bad..
I had two Mormons come to my door the other day who when I said sorry but I'm a Christian pointed to their badges which said Latter Days Saints of the Church of *Jesus Christ*. People have done terrible things in "the name" (at least they had the right consonants and pronunciation, whether they actually know HIM at all I'd dispute) of "Jesus Christ"..
That doesn't make that name evil either. Seriously. Satan could care less if we know how to pronounce it "right" and probably loves it when we argue and try to prove how to pronounce it "right" so long as we don't serve the living, breathing true and honest person who is called that.
I don't care if people call me Anne, Anna, Annie, or even Anna-Banana - hehe, on occasion. I know who they're talking to - well sometimes anyway.. But seriously I'm sorry if people have done terrible things to you but just because someone else used it against you that means all the more you should know better than to use it against someone else.
Jesus/Yeshua, the guy who is written about in the Bible, who really did do all those things and really is all that the Bible says He is. Born of a virgin. Died. Rose on the third day.

Oh and technically it was probably Iesus or something like that.. Is my understanding. The NT name for the Savior in Greek.. But I know less about Greek than I do about Hebrew although I'd like to learn. I think it's interesting. I just like languages.. You'd have to read up on that.. So actually I don't think anyone is saying it wasn't Jesus in the New Testament, what they are disputing is what it would have been in Aramaic and Hebrew which would be pronounced differently. What Jesus was actually called by his friends. Which the world will probably never know now for sure. ;-)
Well at least until He comes again. Then He'll probably set us all straight.
But yes most scholars would also agree at least in Greek or Latin which were the most common languages, it would have been pronounced something very like Jesus..
I still don't get what this has to do with the price of eggs in China though.
Other than evidently Jesus being in a highly cosmopolitan time and place probably had to learn early on not to be offended by how those Romans "butchered" the pronunciation of His given name. And probably didn't care. So why do we?

But God does care. He said we all must be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins to be saved. Sure I know that god loves all peoples. And of course in their language, they will read something different. But that is to them. My Scripture says that there in only one name given under heaven, among men, by which we must be saved, and that name, In English, Is JESUS. Now, those who were proclaiming this other name, flat deny the name of Jesus. that lesus or whatever, is the name of a greek idol god. and they claim that is where Jesus came from. You believe whatever you like on this subject. As for me, I love the name of Jesus and trust my salvation to what the KJV calls him. the KJV does not once use either of those other names. So i believe that KJV, and rest my soul on it, for it has already benefited me with the very same experiences as the Apostles had. Just today, what I came back on for, and this has gotten me off it. is to praise him for answered prayer today... the given much needed rain here in burning Ga. I do not know where all it was, but it rained good here. So I thank and praise my God for that. I think Jesus and God do have set standards and we must all abide by them. the people who claim these other names also deny everything the Word of God teaches. That makes it even more suspect to me. I can tell you one thing. My God happens to know any and all languages on this earth, for He made them all. He is the master of them all. He is just as capable of giving his word in English as any other language, and he most certainly DID. How dare you try to teach that God only speaks to people in old hebrew?
