British Forces previously committed to Operation VERITAS have included Royal Navy S & T Class submarines, RAF support aircraft, and a naval task group with Commando forces embarked.

9 April 2002 | A British soldier from the Royal Anglian Regiment died following an incident during a security patrol in Kabul. The circumstances of the incident are the subject of a full investigation, but hostile action was not a factor. The soldier's family have requested that his name not be released for the time being.
