11 Jun 06 The Ministry of Defence confirmed that a British Soldier was killed in Afghanistan. UK forces were involved in an incident in Helmand province, Southern Afghanistan. A mobile patrol was engaged in a firefight against suspected Taliban forces. Sadly as a result of this engagement one UK soldier was killed and two seriously injured.
