Pedigree Korps Commandotroepen Korps Commandotroepen and its mother units: By Royal Decree the origin of the Korps Commandotroepen from No 2 (Dutch) Troop was specified in 1955, when Her Majesty Queen Juliana presented the Queens' Colour with the legends ARAKAN-ARNHEM-NIJMEGEN -EINDHOVEN-VLISSINGEN- WESTKAPELLE, all within the year 1944. The start of the training of the first Dutch commandos, 22 March 1942, was decided to be the date of foundation. By Royal Decree of 8 November 1980 it was decided that the Korps Commandotroepen also is the continuation of the Korps Insulinde and the Regiment Speciale Troepen that evolved from it. A cravat with the legends DJOKJAKARTA 1948 and CENTRAL-SUMATRA 1948-1949 was attached to the Queens' Colours. With the renewal these legends were mentioned on the Queens' Colours. | | PEDIGREE KORPS COMMANDOTROEPEN | |
