YANSA

Oh were do the buffalo roam

Upon the open plains of yonder

The hills of flourishing green.

Amidst the cities of lime

The towering rock

The stream of cool running water

Runs like the seasons of youth...

Oh â€œkindred brother?Ye with gentle soul

Great Spirit embracing plumes of white feather,

Your essence left in the dust of time

The pastures of freedom entwined

Connecting etheric aura

Vibrating within Mother Natures womb of epoch

In memoirs of the eons past

Once in plentiful abundance

Totem drums beat... sounding like your loving heart!

Only the song of a whispering wind...

Cascades with the clouds

Etching your image

Upon the glorious Blue sky!

Tears fall from the heavens

In memory of you

Beloved

YANSA.

This poem is beautiful Mandalinspirit, brought a tear to my eye reading it
and picturing these great animals roaming in the thousands on the open plains.
Man will never learn that when we destroy animals we also destroy part of ourselves
and our childrens future.

Thanks a'mum.
I hadn't heard the word yansa until now, so I checked and learned that it's Cherokee for buffalo.
I also came across the following brief movie.
