5 September 2005 With deep regret the Ministry of Defence confirmed that two British soldiers died from injuries sustained in a roadside bomb explosion in Basrah province.
31 August 2005 A newly built school in Al-Khora, Western Basrah, was officially opened courtesy of funding provided by 2 Squadron, RAF Regiment.
