12 June 2005 Task Force Maysan, a Battle Group based on the Staffordshire Regiment and supporting troops, has arrested a number of individuals suspected of being involved in attacks on Multi-National Forces.
8 June 2005 Lance Corporal Alan Brackenbury  of A Squadron, King's Royal Hussars, was repatriated from Iraq in a C17 to RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire.
6 June 2005 Private Adam Mills, a sharp-eyed soldier from the West Midlands, has had an eventful start to his deployment to Iraq. Just days after arriving in theatre, Private Mills, 19, of 1 Staffords (part of the Staffords Battlegroup currently operating as Task Force Maysan) discovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) close to the roadside.

The Iraqi Navy has been receiving assistance and training from British Forces in order to develop their own capability to conduct patrols and secure Iraqi territorial waters.
