The 'Bobby' on the beat?
The one we laughed
Had big feet!
That familiar character
Who knew your mum and dad
And would clip your ear
If he caught you, being bad
No good running home
Crying, "I'm in pain!"
Because if you told your dad
You'd get the same again
Years have gone by
Since those times
Close circuit is here
To help prevent crimes
'Bad lads!' get caught
On camera, 'you see!'
And are then arrested
By the C.I.D.
