The policemen
In their uniforms of blue,
In order to protect us
Stand so fast and true.

Though some cry "police brutality"
The rest of us, though reticent,
Know they do their best
To protect the innocent.

They take in silence the verbal abuse,
Seldom a kind word do they hear.
It's really a shame more of us,
Don't let them know we care!

In these times of social unrest,
All the risks that they take,
And the dangers they face,
How unjust "Pig" is their namesake.

To all Policemen
In your uniforms of blue,
Trying hard to keep law and order,
I give my salute to you!
