 Marines Green Berets

The Marines and the Royal Marines have been known and identified by the distinctive green berets which they wear with such justifiable pride. The coveted green beret is only awarded to those individuals who have passed the most rigorous and demanding personal examination. Often known as Bootnecks, sometimes Seasoldiers and often more explicit names the Marines have acquitted themselves with distinction in countless actions and incidents thoughout the World. What better example in recent history was the action in retaking the Falkland Isles.
Within the Royal Marines there is of course the elite SBS who have probably now become more highly regarded than the more well known SAS. The two forces have identical training (up to Tadpole stage) but it now seems that the SB boys when they become proper Frogs are more covert and secretive.
As a Marine or Royal Marine you are expected to serve in any quarter of the World and by self discipline and instinct do justice to your Country , your colleagues and yourself.
