T200 - The Spirit of Nelson

The Royal Navy’s Trafalgar 200 programme comes to a close on Sunday 23 October with the staging of ‘T200 - The Spirit of Nelson?

T200 will be a celebration of Britain's Maritime Heritage - Past, Present and Future - and the climax to both the Royal Navy's Trafalgar 200 programme, and Britain's Year of the Sea. In the unique and special setting of Trafalgar Square, the Navy’s aim will be to capture the imagination by creating a contemporary, dynamic interpretation that recognises and embraces the brotherhood and significance of the sea to our island nation. The theatrical action will combine lighting, projection, daring physical performance and a dramatic soundtrack to produce a show that is educational, dynamic and entertaining. As well as capturing the historical context of the Battle of Trafalgar and highlighting the inspirational memory of Lord Nelson, the show will tell a compelling story of the Royal Navy and Britain's maritime community, in scenes highlighting its various roles.

T200 will be free to 10,000 ticket holders. The show starts at 6.30pm and will finish at 8pm. For tickets go to www.trafalgar200.com
