We put our God daughter on the plane on Monday.Today is Saturday. My heart is still broken. We raised her to be independent, and self reliant.To use her head and to think things through. We always told her to stay true to herself. My heart is still broken. I still can't believe that we let her go , to move on , to become a young woman.I know she will make America proud,to say nothing of her family . We will  support her every move and pray that she will come back to us.But my heart is still broken.The yellow ribbon is tied around the tree out front, my military flag is hanging in the window, our flag is proudly swaying in the breeze.But my heart is still broken.
