Yes, children can really surprise us with their courage. My niece had leukemia when she was 5 years old. She went through bone marrow transplants and chemo..and lost all of her hair...but, the was the one consoling people...I remember her telling my mom, her grandmother....Don't worry about me, grandma, I'm going to be ok. And she was..They gave her 6 months to 2 years to live.....she has been cured and is now in her 50's. The doctors told my sister that they don't know what did it....but, we do...good, old-fashioned prayer. |
