What a Friend Does
Experts have long known the value of friendships. The billion-dollar greeting card industry, as well as various poems, books, and songs, all extole the value of friendship.
A friend affirms the worth of another individual :(1) by letting them know they are loved and appreciated just as they are; (2) by not trying to lead them tomake changes to fit into a particular mold, but allowing them to be unique; (3) by helping them discover their God-given talents and abilities and providing opportunities where these gifts can be used and grow. It is with friends that we test our self worth in the world.
Your best friend believes in you enough to enable you to go out and act upon your dreams and desires, so that you are finally able to believe in yourself. Friendships help keep us healthy ---physically, mentally, and spiritually. A friend does not always have all the answers, but, will go with you to God to hear from Him.
