We have recently seen the Pope who had quoted a saying from an emporer who lived hundreds of years ago, about Mohamad. The extreme Muslims in many Arab countries went wild and took to the streets in protest, and a mock burning of the Pope at the stake was done. He literally had to apologise to them publically about what someone else had said hundreds of years ago, just to calm them down. This in it self is a falling away. Should we who belong to Christ be fearful when the truth is proclaimed?
When cartoon pictures of Mohamad were posted in some Europian newspapers, the extreme Muslims went wild again in protest. But when cartoons or movies about Christ depicted as a homosexual there is very little protest from Christians! Don't tell me there is not a falling away from the faith today!
Here are some scriptures that talk about what will be happening in the last days, before the return of Christ.
Acts 2:17-21 NKJV -
"And it will come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.
And on my menservants and on my maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above, And signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
And it shall come to pass That whosoever calls on the name of the LORD, Shall be saved."
Have you called on the name of the LORD? Do not wait another day, we do not know what will happen tomorrow, we only have today to make things right with God.
2 Tim. 3:1-9 NKJV says concerning the last days-
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal,despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was."
