I turned on my TV to check the weather and found that I could not find a single major news station (except for ABC) that did not have Obama across the screen. Obama's arrogance has gone entirely too far. I have seen a lot of pompous behavior from Mr. Obama, but I never thought he would go this far. If I may risk sounding elitist, he just cinched the vote of every "idiot" American who happened to be flipping through the channels this evening, who haven't followed this election for a second. Not the kind of people we want flocking to the polls after being snowballed by a shiny television production and photo montage. Mr. McCain, count me as one of your supporters. |

I turned on my TV to check the weather and found that I could not find a single major news station (except for ABC) that did not have Obama across the screen. Hello, my friend. Where I work, the TV plays 24 hours a day in the control room. They keep it low, but every day it is "Barack Obama, yammer yammer, Barack Obama, yammer yammer". Finally I said, "Are they ever going to mention John McCain even once, all day long?" Yesterday it was the same thing. I said, "I've about had enough of "Barack Obama, Barack Obama". Did I miss the news story of the year? Did John McCain really drop out of the race? If not, why do I only hear "that guy's" name over and over and over and over and over and over, all day long? |

Because stupid people who don't read or keep up on anything can easily be brainwashed by the repetition. If they say it enough, it will come true. |

Hello back friend. I am to the point that I almost won't turn on my TV. He is beyond arrogant. I understand that a certain amount of arrogance comes with public office and that one must say how wonderful they are and the good they will do to sway the public but this has gone beyond that to worship of thyself. I missed the big news also that the election was over, McCain lost and Obama is our president. I was still waiting to vote on November 4th but I can stay home now? |

Hi Rosemary, It was actually sickening. And no, Obama would have to have the support of the entire population of people who can afford to donate to come up with that kind of cash legally. |

A couple of things from this old war dog. In all fairness, in my opinion, the opertive phrase is (in my opinion), Sen. McCain did not give me as a 40 Republican voter much to choose from by picking his running mate. Sen. Obama's donations are less than $200 a person. With, lets say, a million backers, that is a possible $400 million and the limit is $2000 per person. Sen. McCain could have done the same. Before the sit down they agreed on Sen. McCain jumped the gun and opted for public financing. I have read and re-read what Sen. Obama said about public financing and in all fairness both he and Sen. McCain had the same options. Like a lot of folks, I'm still undicided and I really don't like the Pro-life or Pro-choice to be the detemining issue, but for me that is what it comes down to. (And I have studied Sen. Obama's position on Roe V. Wade to great extent. I don't think I am a idoit for haveing taken so long and still not know who I will vote for. I understand that as I write this response 14% are still undicided and will determine who wins by how we vote. For me, that is scary. It anin't over til it's over and the fat lady sings. Don |

It baffles me that you don't consider someone who is a governor and has been a mayor to have greater executive experience than a man who has led community groups. I begin to wonder if you would feel the same way if she were a HE. |

I begin to wonder if you would feel the same way if she were a HE. I suggested that awhile ago and got ignored. |

I agree there is still too much bias against women. Some of the smartest people on God's earth are women, folks. My Dad was fairly smart, but my Mother was wiser than he was and I knew it. I didn't lose any respect for my Dad because of it - I just recognized it as fact. My favorite women are NOT dumb blondes - my favorite women are SMART WOMEN. I love intelligent women (that's why I love my HisAlone so much!). Do I think Sarah Palin is smarter than Obama? As a matter of fact, yes I do. And I'll tell you something you did not ask - I believe she can learn. I do NOT believe Obama can learn because I believe he has a wicked and criminal mind that is permanently bent toward evil and I believe he has a hateful, spiteful, witch for a wife, who would destroy any notion of goodness he might possibly entertain for one second. |

Nan, I am sure no one meant to ignore you. I have pretty much always felt that we would have a black man for President before we had a woman. But, I never thought I would hear anyone say they wouldn't vote for someone because of their choice for V.P. I never thought I would see so many people who turn a deaf ear and blind eye to all of Obama's problems; but, be able to focus so intently on a woman running for V.P. It is just so blatantly obvious that it is sexist. It has zero to do with qualifications. |

MrW, I think Sarah Palin is way smarter than Obama; but, then I think being a Governor shows more experience than being a community organizer. I also think she has more character. And, she is not a smooth talking politician. I have always felt that woman who act stupid give us all a bad rap. I have friends who actually prefer to act dumb so they get things done for them. It is sad. It is a demoralizing thing to live in a society that teaches it's girls that they get more from acting stupid than they do from being themselves and showing their intellect. karkar |

I tell the little girls at church that they are beautiful and that they are intelligent and that I love girls who are smart. At least one male will be pointing them toward believing intelligence is a GOOD thing, which it is. I really do like intelligence in a woman. My choice of my wife I believe demonstrates my appreciation of inner beauty, outer beauty, AND intelligence (you all recall she graduated from University this year with a 4.0 GPA and several honors awards). |

"I believe he has a hateful, spiteful, witch for a wife, who would destroy any notion of goodness he might possibly entertain for one second." ~ MrW Amen to that! What a terrible example she would be for the children (especially the females) of this nation. There are lots of pictures of her floating around on email and on the Internet and they all show her to be full of contempt, anger, bitterness, and hatred. (Sorry for the delete. I had a misspelling.) |

I wasn't concerned by the lack of response, just thought I tell you not to expect one. |
