I love this recipe, especilly for a buffet or pot luck. It is so easy tomake.
I often double the recipe when taking it some where and also have ued a combination of soups or even substituted a soup for the cream of mushroom soup.
I also have used a mixed or Mexican blend cheese.
The options are endless!
I really like using cram of chicken soup instead of the mushroom soup. I willoften add cream of celery soup when taking it some where.
I have added mushrooms or peppers ( green red, yellow, orange or a combination) as well.
If a full recipe is too much divide in half and freeze part of it in a closed container or half the recipe.
I also usually use a half stick of butter instead of a full stick.
I have also used crushed potato chips, corn chips, or dorritos for the topping instead of bread crumbs.
I would recommend this dish to anyone.
PS..... I have also warmed it thenext morning and had it with scrambled eggs!
