Hi Mary.... I'm Cheryl, been T1 for 34 years and currently have no complications due to diabetes..... first off, congrats on the 92# weight loss.... that is excellent and I'm sure you feel alot better because of it!  Way to go.....
I'm in Oklahoma...just moved here within the last month because....uh.... I've never lived in this state before....lol.... we were living in So. NM in the Sacramento Mts....and the economy got us down here onto level land.  In NM, we had to drive 50 miles down and up mountain roads to get to the grocery store...and then had to drive back up the mountain to get home...so the 10 minute drive or 15 minute walk to the store is much better on the budget now.  I was born and raised in No. NY... up by the Canadian border.
This is a terrific group.... I've been a member here for two years and have gotten to know some really great people here.... even though I've had diabetes since I was a teen (diagnosed at 18 and am 52 now), I have learned alot from reading the boards.  I've also learned that I'm not alone...which has been great.
We share alot of our lives with each other but that isn't a requirement.... it just seems to happen.  If you have any questions, concerns, curiosities, smiles or tears.... post away.... there is generally someone around that will respond with what they've experienced or know or to give you a hug.
I look forward to getting to know you also in the upcoming days and posts.....take care. Peace,Cheryl

Welcome Mary.  Wow what a  great job on the weight loss.   I need to drop about 45 lbs myself.  I also am a type 2 for about 26 or more years now.    I am on insulin 4 times a day.  A1c runs in the low 6's.   Share your secret for losing all the  weigh.
Oh I should also mention that we use a large font here because many of us have vision problems.
My husband is also diabetic and my adult son has just been diagnosed. Glad to have you joining us here.

Wecome Mary...WOW, you should be very proud of your weight loss...good for you!  I'm a kind of post every now and then person. I'm type 2 since about 1991. I take Glucophage, 1000 mg, twice a day.  Exercise almost everyday.  For many years i was in the excellent range, then out of nowhere, my A1c's starting climbing...I was under some stress at the time. My last A1c came down to 6.6...  Hope I can keep it down ....and hope you will hang around and make yourself at home. Be happy & healthy, Lisa

Hi and Welcome to the group.  Am  t-2 for over 38 years and now on the insulin pump.  I now have much more freedom to live in the style to which I am accustomed.  There are many people in this group that are very helpful and have much knowledge which they love to provide.
