Since this is my first time here, I have to let people know that I have been diabetic for some time (adult onset) from my mid twenties (I am 35 now)
We are 4 weeks 1 day pregnant with my 7th pregnancy, hopefully my fifth child and his first.

Here are a few of my BS/insulin readings. (I started to control again on July 16th)

This is very interesting. Thanks for posting all your numbers. I have a few questions. I do see a couple of patterns: your morning numbers are always high and your 6pm numbers are usually high.  So, I wonder what types of insulin you are taking?  What are you eating? When are you eating? Just need some more info to be able to help you out.
Take care

What types of insulin you are taking?  Humalog
What are you eating?
I try to stick to whole wheat bread, tuna, baby spinach salad (contains about 3 tbsp of mixed nuts-unsalted, 2 tbsp mandarins, poppy seed dressing, sometimes some grated cheese), cheese, yogurt, milk, sweetener in the coffee with milk (recently modified from 5% cream
or whitener) I try to stay with some fruits and veggies, but I don't like alot of what is on my menu or I am sensitive to it (eg. bananas give me canker sores all over my mouth as do any citrus fruits, sometimes plums, apples and grapes-same) I try to keep carbs (pasta, rice, bread and potatoes) to a minimum and don't eat breakfast until after 10 am.
When are you eating?
I wake at 6:30 am and have my morning coffee, then I go to work and eat there at about 10, 10:30 am. I don't eat again until between 12 and 2 pm (depends on when we get our break as we are mail carriers, so the time changes)Then sometimes I will eat what remains from my lunch between 3 and 4 pm (when we return to the office) supper at 6, snack at 7 or 8 and snack at bedtime. Snacks usually consist of fruit, veggies or dairy. NEVER carbs after 4 pm.

So a typical day for me would be like this:
Wake up, have coffe with sweetener and milk. Get ready for work. Eat a whole wheat, tuna, baby spinach and cheese sandwich at the office with water.
(Sometimes I will also eat my yogurt or some veggies/fruit as well)
Lunch is the same. (sometimes I pack macaroni, salad/leftovers)
Eat yogurt/ fruit/veggies on return to office.
Supper consists of whatever we have (I'm on disability as well, so some months are good, others not so much)
I try to be sure to stay away from premade meals (such as hot stuffs, canned pasta, etc...but some months its all we can afford)
Eg. last night we had 1 hot stuff ham & cheese pocket each along with some medium light cheddar cheese and some cut up cukes. I also had a glass of 2%milk.
Now, what I need to do is control portion sizes now that I am figuring out what triggers my BS to go up or down. I also try to use more or less insulin when I eat.
Eg. eat carbs (sandwich) I add more insulin, no carbs...less.

So I have to ask: why aren't you taking a long-acting insulin such as Lantus or Levemir? Or even N? It just seems as though you're taking the Humalog to cover meals and that's it. Doesn't seem to be enough since your numbers are high alot of the time. You must feel awful and tired most of the time? ... Also, the numbers you show in the table, such as 40ml or 20ml, is that 40 units or 20 units of humalog taken at those times?

Take care
Chris

40 and 20 ml is the units I take yes.
I do feel crappy most of the time and have requested an endocrinologist for nearly two years now (repeatedly) but for some reason, the walk-in clinic isn't referring me to anyone and the person I did have retired.
I tried Lantus and it didn't do anything for me and Humlin is something I have, but haven't taken in ages.
(It made my sugars crash all the time even if I only took 2 units.)
I have been thinking about trying it again as being pregnant can throw out the sugars too and changes things in the body that I may need to go on it again, but I would need some information on how to use it again.

I just noticed on my box of sweetener today that cyclamate is to be used only with a doctors advice and NEVER during pregnancy, so now it has me a bit worried.I will keep the box around, but told my hubs that if he makes me a coffee, tea, etc...DO NOT USE IT!!!
I also posted an article to the pregnancy board here.
