I can't believe what I just read!!!  You are sending your son to school on Tuesday and the school won't know what class he will be in until then.....that is about the dumbest thing I ever heard of.  I taught in the elementary school for 35 years and we always had our class list before school started, parents were notified of what room and what teacher their child would have.  In fact, in the spring the teachers of both grade levels, in your case it would be the Kdn. and 1st grade teachers plus the principal, counselor and other support personell, would meet with individual enrollment cards and divide these cards up between the next years teachers.  The classes would be divided as well as could be equally between the sexes, various problems etc.   We were notified before the first day of any medical problems before the children even reached our rooms, unless they enrolled the day of school.  Sounds like really poor planning to me.....that must be like a zoo the first day doing all that.  I can see your concern....I would be concerned too.  I know I have not offered any comfort here but had to tell you what I thought of the situation.  I am sure that your son's teacher will have questions also....she/he will be as nervous as you if this is a new situation she/he is facing.
