While I was picking up a prescription at Kaiser Permanente this morning, I stopped by their Flu Clinic and got my shot.

How about you?  Will you get one?

Suzanna

Absolutely.  I've gotten one every year since 1988.  I've never had any reaction from the shot, and I've also never had the flu since then.

Some years I do and some I don't.  I will get it if I happen to be at the doctor but I don't go out of my way to get one.

Don't know. I usually don't get one and I haven't had the flu in eight years. The indecision comes in the fact that I had a new great niece born yesterday and I see her mom (and now her) quite a bit. They have already given mom and dad a flu shot yesterday and her aunt is a nurse manager in the hospital where our little one was born (pediatrics and newborns) so she's already had one. We were having a discussion last night about the get shots or not get shots decision. Interesting thing was my niece's cousin on the other side was there and works in ICU (at another hospital) and she's thinking she won't get one. I assumed hospitals would push all medical professional around patients to get one.

Ah yes, it is time for flu shots again.  I get one every year and got this years on Monday.  Also got a tetanus booster too.  I have not had one for a good number of years, so thought it was time to get that up to date too.
You would think that insulin shots would be enough.

Suz,

We saw something in the news the other day about Kaiser's flue vaccine being compromised (maybe not kept at the right temp.)   I think it wasn't dangerous it just made the vaccine inaffective.  I hope you got your vaccine after this issue had been resolved?

Yes, Terri!  I got it after that incident of compromised vaccine ... so I'm good!  Thanks for your concern.

oops! I forgot to answer the question.

No, I will not be getting a flu shot due to my current health issues that still haven't been completely diagnosed.
