Just in case you are tempted to dip into that Halloween candy you are giving away, here is a website for a Halloween Candy carb count.

I haven't been eating any candy for a few years now, but one thing I always found....no matter what the package says about the carb count, I have to bolus for at least 1.5 times the carb count with candy, otherwise I'll end up high.  I don't know if it's because they lie about their carb counts or perhaps because candy is just so high on the glycemic index, but anytime I've bolused for just the carb count on the package, I've ended up EXTREMELY high later.

I am hooked on Twix fun size bars.  Each one has 10g of carbs. I eat one every day after lunch..................but I really want more!  LOL

Even though it is so much fun seeing kids in their costumes I'm glad we don't get trick-or-treaters at our house. lol  That way we don't have an excuse to buy bags of candy!!!

I am hooked on the tiny box of milk duds, 4 duds a piece, and I usually don't bolus, but sometimes regret the nonbolusing part.

This year I bought two big bags of assorted candy but I didn't look closely at what was in the bag becuase I new if I did I would be craving something in there.
The candy is still in the grocery bag and I haven't thought another thing of it .  I hope we get enough kids to give it all away!!!

I have been known to put treats and things down the garbage disposal just to get rid of the temptation.  Like the rest of my mom's birthday cake. lol  After all of the company left and my husband was going to be out of town for a few days I knew I had to get rid of it or eat it!!!  Call me weak or wasteful, but I'm glad I didn't eat it.

I don't buy treats until Halloween day so I'm not tempted. We usually have anywhere between 60 to100 kiddies, so it's mostly gone and I bring the leftovers to work - there are plenty of takers here (they're a corporate office for rehabs centers and they're so fit a few candy bars won't hurt them). But I will have to be good, I'm going to bring cookies Friday and put them outside my door here at the office for my floor mates. And I love the butter cookies I'm making and decorating. The cookies aren't very sweet, but the pounds of confectioner's sugar used in the frosting will kill you.

Back when I owned a home I would buy a candy that I didn't like so that I wouldn't be tempted.  For some reason I never liked Milky Way bars and I would buy those.  This really works and you guys should find something you really don't like..maybe that would be an interesting list as opposed to what we love.
