My halloween was very nice. I had enough candy to go around and could not believe by 7:30 p.m. I was out of candy. The kids started to come around more so by 6 p.m. In the past, we were inidated with kids. They would start at 3 p.m. and the door bell would not ringing till 8:30 p.m. This year we had kids but not as many. The only good thing I have to say the kids were very polite with saying "trick or treat" and couldn't thanked me enough. I guess there are still some decent children in this world. JofNile
We live on a dark, dead end street so didn't expect any kids. About 7:00 th door bell rang ... it was our neighbors who came to show us their costumes! Their kids were having a Halloween party and they came to show us their costumes! It was fun. Of course, I gave them some sugar free candy!
We didn't have a lot of kids to I gave out bunches of candy to each one. I stood at the door and yelled "Trick or Treaters I have candy"...cuz I didn't want any left over. Finally I gave away the last of the bags save 1 tootsie pop for me. So...this morning I walked out front and someone had dropped another tootsie pop!! yay me I picked it up and ate it!!!! didn't have no bugs!!!
We had over 75 Trick or Treaters stop by, and YES! I scared them all. I had 10 Tiki torches going plus a small fire. Signs posted “Beware-Go Back –and -I’ll cut your head off? My daughter and her friends (15 in all) went to a local grave yard at mid-night. OH how I wish I knew ahead of time. I would have been there early with a white sheet and lantern. Plus my sound effects tape blasting. All the teens ended up in my back yard for a huge bon-fire. It was nice. ?Bicbe - Peter
Wow, what a Halloween you had Peter! We live in a rural area. The road wouldn't really be a safe place for kids to walk on to go trick-or-treating. Besides they can get in a lot more houses by staying in the burbs. Kevin was eyeing the 50% off candy at the store the day after Halloween. He decided against buying any.
I can recall the one year when I dressed up like Frankenstein. Picture it---- tall woman with green face, red scare across forehead, black around the eyes, green hands with black nails and appropriate clothing of frankenstein. When I opened the door the kids got startled. The teenagers who stood at my door smoking nearly choked on the cigarette smoke. I guess they didn't expect someone "spooky" to answer the door. I loved it. Two years ago I dressed up like Uncle Fester. JofNile
