Well I must say it was not what I expected.  He was very nice and asked lots of questions.  We talked about my lows but I forgot to mention the highs.  We did discuss the ongoing direahia.  He put on Fortamet extended release.  Well the bathroom situation is somewhat better, but, my blood sugars have been higher.  My morning readings have gone from 112 to 156.  After meals aren't so great either.  I go back to see his nurse pratician anlong with his dietition.  I see him in Jan for a follow up.
Does any here think I should be concerned about the numbers or should I just wait until I see the nurse P. ?
He also put me on Crestor.  I hate cholesteral meds.  Everyone I have ever taken makes me gain weight.  All my drugs I am on for depression now also make you gain weight.  I just want to screem sometimes.
thanks
corgi

Can Fortamet affect your blood sugar?  Meds can do nasty things to blood sugar control.  It is like being between a rock and hard place sometimes.  Didn't the endo look at your meter records?  My endo hooks my meter up to his computer and he can see what's been happening for the last several months.  Did your endo do an A1c?  Also, how often do you test?  I would think any high numbers should be addressed with your doctor.  Maybe he can help you.  Forgive me, but I can't recall if you are just on oral meds or what?
