Know Your Peppers:Peppers with 3 bumps on the bottom are sweeter and better for eating. Peppers with 4 bumps on the bottom are firmer and better for cooking.
The other day when I was in the grocery store I made a point of looking at the bumps on the green peppers. They were all 4 bumps or higher. Some 6. But I didn't see any with 3. I was handling too many peppers to see their bumps that they were starting to fall all over so I thought I better get the heck out of there. I bought one so the people thought that I was extra picky.
