Hey guys whats up, I got a job at a ranch, even though im only 14yro, to me thats pretty cool, anyways I was alittle nervous to post this poem, I was really upset the day I write this, we had to go up infront of class and talk about something important to us, and as most of you know my dog was most important to me.Afterwards some kid in my class walked over and told me that if it was his dog he would have shot her the day he found out she had a tumor just to put her out of her misery, so I got really mad and punched him, which is very unlike me imglad a teacher didnt see sence it was at lunch,my friends were surprised because they are the ones always getting in fights not me, this poem also makes me sound suicidal which im not so dont worry.I also wanted to thank you guys for all the support I'v received from you.
I love you, is that ok? Ohwell I love you anyways, So many days in so many ways. Regrets and threats, forgiveness, unforgiven, will I ever make it to heaven? I was mistaken the day it happened, it took me by surprise, it punched me in the heart, and it hurt, a pain I will never forget, A pain I feel everyday I dont see, your friendly eyes and welcomeing face, I will never forget the day tears streamed, from my eyes and my cries didnt matter, they could not save you, I've never felt so helpless and stupid, I wanted to go with you and be put down, I wanted to die just like I planned, we'd die together and go to that special land, but god had other plans, to take you and leave me behind, like an unimportant wounded soilder, with tears in my eyes.-BY Kathleen Ruth Barats |

Dear Kathleen..That is such a DEAR Poem..and a heartfelt one and one I can empathize with hon....It is how you felt and you are talented enough to put it into words very well.. You know poems are a wonderful way for us all to help release some of our pain even when it might not feel like it.. Keep it up and don't worry bout the ones that do not understand what they would really do till they walked in your shoes.. Hugs and great on your ranch job!!!!!! That is so cool! I was raised on a ranch and still go there at times.. My boy now 17 worked on a dude ranch for a few summers..that is very good for you!!!!! Keep us informed...sounds very interesting..Might be more poems coming just from that.. Hugs, Diane |
