I have found on the 1861 census Agnes b: 1827 Ireland and John Eaglson b: 1827 Ireland with son John b: 1852 Ireland living at 13 Albert Street, Govan, Scotland.  Unfortunately the original image is unavailable to view so I can't tell you the occupation of John senior at this stage.  They are elusive on later census images but I will continue to try.

 

I will also see if I can come up with anything for Francis and Catherine, Agnes' parents.

Please forgive me if I'm insulting your intelligence Margaret, but are you 100% certain and happy with Agnes' parents being Francis Boyd and Catherine Hyman.  I only ask because I've found the birth of an Agnes in 1830 Rathmore, Antrim with parents Francis Boyd and Agnes McKeig - just wondered if maybe Catherine was a red herring somewhere.  However, if you are perfectly confident your Catherine is correct then obviously this is not the right Agnes I've found.  I will keep digging!
