Hi Debbs

Can you give us your granny's name (at death) and are you sure it's 1929?

hi Kay
her name was Jane Porter nee fraser  we don't know its her death certificate we don't know what country she died in  all i can tell you we suspect her birth was cape town south Africa she married and had 6 girls one of those is my grandmother  my grandmother immigrated to australia in 1907 from south africa
now Jane Porter nee fraser was left a lot of money from her husband and travelled the world we know she came to australia between 1913-1923 she left after a fight with her son in law  We contacted the south africa people there is no record of her death in South Africa that why we tried england records as her husband has family there and scotland
what i was looking for was this death cert jane porter  portsmouth  (1900 onw) 1929 vol and page  i only need to know what (1900 onw ) means
we are not sure that this is even the right person but thanks Kay for your effort and support

Hello Debbie

I will see if I can find anything for you but in the meantime, could I please ask that you ensure you reply to any message on site and not direct from your inbox?  It uses a lot of space on the site and causes problem "our end".  Many thanks Debbie and check back soon.

Hi again Debbie

If you're looking for Jane Porter's death in Portsmouth 1929 I think the following would be correct:

Deaths Jun 1929   (90%)
Porter  Jane  68  Portsmouth  2b 596

Of course the only way of being 100% certain is to obtain the copy death certificate which should provide details of the next of kin - this should give you the link to the family.

Hope this helps.

Hi

Referring to your first message, I think that "1900 onw" might perhaps be "OND", which means the Oct/Nov/Dec quarter (of 1900).
