I help with Irish and English searches, and give help in locating Irish parishes and townlands. Also like deciphering handwriting on old documents. I am English-born, living in Ireland.

I r is h P o e t r y
On the page "Irish Poetry" you will find a few poems written by my great great great grandfather, poet and author William Ledger. I had known about William for a long time, but it was only in recent years that I was delighted to discover his poetry amongst rare collections in the Limerick libraries, and also in Trinity College Dublin.
William was a graduate of Trinity, and he lived in Limerick with his wife Sarah Finucane who was a piano teacher. They moved to London around 1839. William and Sarah had at least two sons and seven daughters, possibly more, and their daughter Sarah was my great great grandmother. I hope you will enjoy reading William's poems.
