Well hello,
I just stuffed sending you information I found, timed out and wiped out.
Hi, I am Suzanne one of the less busy assistant managers here. I am in Queensland Australia so have been asked to help you in your search.
So here is what I have found and what data bases I have searched today:
Basically I found the child born 1900 under Watson name Vivian was first name. I couldn't find the one before him you made mention of.
I did find marriage details for Matthew and Elizabeth Janes wedding
Three more childrens births in the index for 1902,4 & 7.These were Matthew and Elizabeths. Perhaps more born after 1914 where Qld indexes online stop.
Using Ancestry I found Elizabeth & Matthew from 1903 to 1919. In 1925 Matthew may be in Cloncurry working as a labourer or dead. Not sure which. Unfortunately Qld don't give a place of death on their indexes on microfiche nor CD or even online.
In that same year I found two boys the oldest and second youngest on rolls having come of age to vote and still living in area.
In 1930 the boys are still in town as is mother and no sign of a wife for the boys yet that I can tell.
Last year of electoral rolls on Ancestry in 1936 have Elizabeth still there but only her youngest is enrolled there with her, rather in the town.
Also in this roll Vivian and possibly the oldest of Matthews boys is found in Kelvin Grove on the same street, different residence. Vivian is a labourer while the other son is a butcher.
Its possible Elizabeth went to live with one of the sons in her aging years.
If you are here in Australia you can check the electoral rolls in the local electoral office on their Intranet for the family members to see when Elizabeth last voted.
No family trees come up to check on Ancestry for Elizabeth or Matthew nor for any of the boys.
I checked Australian Archives, Queensland Archives, NSW bdm to see if I could discover if Elizabeth had married out of the state or if she has a sister who died in childbirth perhaps whose babes she took and registered as her own.
I checked LDS without any luck.
I will check when I open up the Family History Society on Monday if not earlier to see if our microfiche or CD BDM for Qld can give me more on the family for the marriages go further and so do the deaths.
I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Bye
Suzanne
If you have the marriage certificate then hopefully you will gain a heap of information for Queensland is one of the best for detail here.
I checked dead people society which is based at Toowoomba west of Brisbane but no mention of the members there either.
