I'm looking for information on my great-grandmother Margaret Mary Hanlon.
As per her death certificate she was b. 4 Dec 1888 in County Longford, Ireland. Her father's name was Patrick Hanlon b. in Ireland. Her mother's name was Mary Flaherty b. in Ireland. I have a slight issue with this name as it is the same as her daughter's by her second husband Patrick Flaherty. Her third husband at the time of her death, Gus Mansson, may not have known her mother's name and used Mary's by mistake. Or, as is known to happen, it could be the same. My mother has insisted Margaret's mother's maiden name was Reilly. Who knows!
Her first husband, John Kiernan, was also said to be from Longford. It is unknown whether they were married in Ireland or the States. Their son John was born in 1909 in New York. After this date all information comes from the States.
