thank you for your help I have been searching for about 2 years but my sister has been searching for more than 20 years ,we have not been able to find out anything about Christopher his daughters Eliza and Catherine went to america Catherine married John Gleason he was also born in Ireland, have not found Eliza in america, kate&john lived in Saratoga Springs NewYork

Mary came to australia and married Michael Regan in sydney in1869 he was also born in ireland ,I believe john also came to australia ,wishing you a merry christmas and a happy new year

Your mention of some of the family coming to the USA,caught my attention.

I did a quick look-up for anything that could be found on Kate, since you had her marriage to John Gleason.

There are several Family Trees on Ancestry..with the Flannery family.

Some information can be found on Kate and John from the 1880 census forward through 1910.

No one had found the 1900 census for this family Group and one person had John and Kate living in NYC circa 1910.

The following is taken from the Census Index at Ancestry...

By 1900 Kate and John had lost seven of their children and only daughter Maggie was still living.

You are saying that Catherine (Kate) Gleason nee Flannery is buried in St.Pauls Cemetery, Saratoga, New York, is this correct?

The informant was John FLANNERY....not GLEASON.

Then we have a Flannery connection living in the USA?

I hadn't the time to check for any Flannery families living in Saratoga, but if the above is correct,this would be another family to follow in the Census.

Did your family have any correspondence with living family in the USA?

Anything that you can add to the above findings might be very helpful in the research.

Hi Jelora yes catherine and her husband are both buried there when her husband died she was the informant and signed her name as Kate Flannery when John Gleason was the the informant; MY SISTER GOT ALL THIS INFORMATION SOME YEARS AGO SHE PUT IT ON MY COMPUTER BUT I LOST IT WHEN I HAD A COMPUTER CRASH WE FOUND THEY HAD 4 CHILDREN ;HAVE NOT BEEN NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANY MORE INFO THANKS JELORA YOUR HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED MARGARET ALMA
