Hi Carol,

I thought that you might want to see the original census image.
Thr name  Leo  was transcribed differently on the index by Ancestry.
I haven't found the family in 1910 to recheck the name of the son Leo born 1894.Perhaps it is entirely different than found in the 1900 census, which is not uncommon.

Leo, is correct, thank you very much.  I forgot for the moment when I responded regarding the Lus name.

Now, the children of Catherine Merrick and unknown first name McGrath the parents of:
Michael b. 1858, William and Delia had an unknown first name sister,
she married William Kiernan b. 1862, they had two children, Lawrence Kiernan b. 1895 and Helen Kiernan b. 1896 in a Census after that I find William Kiernan listed as a widower living with his mother in law Catherine McGrath.

I am searching for the father McGrath's first name who was married to Catherine Merrick and their daughter's first name
the unknown sister's first name. it would have to be in 1890 and earlier census.  if her child was born 1896, she had to die after that
Michael's first two children were born in Albany, NY
William and Delia never married and I find them living in Orange, CT
I find Lawrence Kiernan living in Orange, Ct. 1920, census with wife Emma and daughter Helen
I find Helen Keinan in 1930 census living with her Uncle William McGrath

I did find the Kiernan name misspelled where they ran the r and n into each other and it looked like Kierrrian, can you help  me find his wife's first name and his father in law's first name

Jelora, recently I found my Catherine Merrick, listed as Kate Merrick and her husband James McGrath was listed as James McGraw.
Catherine (Kate) b. 1838  Merrick's mother was Bridget Merrick, cant find her father was though, she had a brother Michael b. 1842
this was listed in Litchfield, Connecticut fed. census 1850 or 1860, I will h ave to go to look that up again.

also, I believe I found them living in Albany NY for a while and William Kiernan's wife may have been Johanna McGraw/McGrath.  I have been search for her as Helen or Ellen.

I have not been getting any emails from this website in a while, do you know why?

Hi Carol...

Good to hear from you .It has been a long while since we last looked into your family.
I seem to remember finding James in the 1880 census with his name  not indexed as Mc Graft.
If you can give me some time, I'll try to see what we can find, given the fact that you have found new information on the family.
The  rest of this month will be devoted to my family.  Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I'll be busy with company.
In regards to not receiving messages ,you might want to check your mail settings with the group. The other possibility .. your mail server might be putting the messages in your spam folder.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours
Jelora
