Hi all

Not been about for awhile as i have damaged a disc in my back and up until yesterday found it hard to sit for long periods at the pc.  Today i was having a coffee and started to read a family ancestry file on our family on my dads side, he gave me this a couple of years ago and i have flicked through it but decided to have a good read of it.  I can not belive what i found, i have been doing research on dads side of the family for about a year now and getting nowhere and as i was nearing the end of the book what do i find! Its only our family ancestry tree dating back to 200AD.  After I had got over the shock i couldnt believe how dumb i had been not to have seen it before. There are a few important people in the tree and some bad ones but to actually see where our family fits in is amazing. All i have to do now is transfer all this onto paper along with our family for my mum and dad and hope that they will understand it and they are not as confused as i am at the moment, but then again i am still getting over the shock. I cant even begin to think what it was like living in 200AD let alone finding our tree dated back to then.  The information in this file has been collected over the past 30 odd years by a member of the family. I will keep you posted as to how i get along with re writing it and dont know how many trees worth of paper it is going to take lol

Dee
