I notice her christening and her birth registration did not occur until about a year after her birth. This is not unusual though.

I notice in your tree on Ancestry, Jane's father is stated as Michael. Yet in your message you say his name was Thomas. Can you enlighten me? Also, do you know names of Jane's siblings or any other info that might help me find them? Did the parents stay in Gateshead or move to Burnley? Any little details might help.
