Thank you very much Mike.  It certainly looks as if you could be on the right track for both the Carey and McInerney families.  My grandmother lived well into her eighties and she used to say she came from a long-lived family, so perhaps the Martin and Bridget you found are correct.  My Bridget's death cert. states her father was a farmer too. That also makes sense.  Some of the family first names you mentioned could also tie up, even though they are not uncommon, but certainly clues.  I am not sure what my next step should be now.  But it is good to finally have an area to hone in on.  So exciting.  You and your team are amazing.  Merle
