Thomas Foster was my great-great-great grandfather on my dad's side. Thomas was born in England in what I have is 1815 and died Feb. 12, 1899. He was married to Anna(not really sure if last name is Edward or Gosling).  Anna was born 1813 in England and died in 1891.  They came to Canada and settled in Oro Township, Simcoe County, Ont. Canada.  Thomas and Anna had 4 daughters:
Sarah(my great-great grandmother), married James Nelson, Elizabeth, married John McGowan, Harriet, married John Partridge and Mary Ann(e), married Edmond Drury.  When I have searched on the rootsweb site, it keeps showing me boys and girls in this family, which in fact l know there were only 4 girls. Could someone help me!!
Cindy

Hi Cindy

I have searched the English censuses for all the Foster families for the names mentioned and I think I have found them.  The four eldest girls are indeed Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth and Harriet.  But there were five more children born after.  You will notice Anna's name as Hannah, which is not unusual.  Would welcome your comments before proceeding further, please.

Hi Cindy

I am on the case and will let you know what else I can find on the Foster family.

Cindy, please may we ask you not to post any more new names for the time being until we have had time to deal with all the others.  Please bear with us.  We do ask our members to post just one search at a time.  This way it gives all the members a chance.   Thank you for your co-operation.

Hi Cindy

This looks like it could be Sarah Foster's birth record, which I found on LDS.  Haworth, which lies on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors, is the place where the famous Bronte sisters lived, in the parsonage.  It is just west of Bradford.
