| MYERS Maurice - Date of birth - possibly about 1830 . Place of birth unknown. Wife- Ellen O'HARA - date of marriage also unknown. No information other than that she probably came from Cork City. Children: Thomas - dob about 1864 in Youghal, Cork. He died on 18.02.1824 in Cork District Hospital Ellen - dob unknown Margaret - dob unknown, (name uncertain too). Ellen and her sister were said to be unmarried. Thomas, ( my grandfather) married a widow, Kate LYNCH and went on to have five children; Ellen who died in infancy Maurice 12.01.1909 Thomas 30.07.1910 John 04.05.1912 Mary Bridget 14,03,1914 My Grandfather had one cousin, William MYERS, who married and had one daughter, also named Ellen. She was born about 1906. I would be very grateful for any information on ways of tracing the records of these relatives. Thank you for all your help. | |

Maureen in the Griffiths registrations there is only one Maurice Myers listed.Marian may be able to Explain this Cork is one side [Youghal] The other Waterford.I have seen this Before.So i am going to check on this further

Thanks for discovering these records of property lettings and for the advice about trying to obtain copies of the deeds from Waterford Library. These records appear to indicate rents of eight and 12 shillings respectively. Am I right in thinking that this is what they show? I wonder if its possible to obtain dates for these records as well. It would be interesting to know if the properties were rented at the same time or during different periods. We very much appreciate all the time, effort and skill that is going into locating this information. Maureen |
