Hi, I have come across a "BRICKWALL" that I hope that some one out there can help.... A friend of mine is desperately trying to contact Leonard C. Powell, or anyone related to him.

LENNY POWELL DOB: 21/10/1930, was the youngest of 10 children, all born in Southwark:

Dan Powell 1916
Winifred Powell 1917
Lillian Powell 1920
Elsie Powell 1921
John Powell 1922
Florence Powell 1924
Albert Powell 1926

His parents lived in Kennington Park, South London, his mother Winifred Florence, (nee Precious) was born around 1890 and was originally form the West Country. His father, John Powell - a blacksmith born around 1882, was killed in an air raid shelter in London, during the blitz and Lenny was evacuated to Brighton.

As a young adult Lenny lived in Blackwall Buildings, in the East End of London and has not had any contact with his family since the early 1960's. We assume he left London and are now considering that he may have changed his name and uses a different date of birth.

If you think you maybe related to Lenny or have any information that could assist us in locating him, please contact me as soon as possible. Lenny has a son and daughter he's been estranged from for almost 46 years and they are desperate to trace him.

Is there anyone who has in their travel come acros him or know or hi where abouts, please let me know

Cáit

If you click on 192.com. People Finder, type name but put London not Southwark.
