I have found two William H. Quicks married to Lousia on the 1901 Welsh census, both living in Cardiff.

 

The first was born in Dawlish, Devon c1867.  He was a licensed victualler on his own account at home, and his wife is Louisa Mary, and their children at that time were Flossie and Lilian.

 

The other one was born in Stonehouse, Devon c1865.  He was a .......diver, his wife was Lousia A. and their children at that time were Dorothy A., William F.J. and Louisa G.A.

 

If you can tell me which of the two is yours, I will search further for William and his parents.

Hi again Marian all I know on this family is Louisa (Louise) Amelia Ritter was born app 1875 married William Henry Quick 1894 Cardiff they had a son Arthur Edward Quick born June 1909 this is all I have thanks again

Of course there may have been other children born in the ten years between Louise Gertrude A. and Arthur Edward.  But we don't yet have access to the 1911 census.

 

Now, according to William's birth record from the LDS site, William's mother and his wife had the same name, Louise Amelia Ritter.  My guess is that the younger Louisa Amelia was his cousin.
