I am searching for details on James Traynor, who married Elizabeth Eagleson in Edinburgh, in 1914. They had a son Christopher Traynor, born in 1921. James Traynor and his wife Elizabeth both died in Aberdeen, in March 1959.

Many thanks
Margaret

I'm working under the assumption that both James Traynor and his wife, Elizabeth, were born in Scotland - would that be correct, as far as you know?

Hello Kay
James Traynor may have been born in Ireland, but his wife Mary was born in Co Durham, but she moved to Scotland at an early age and was brought up by an Aunt.
I have information on his wife, Mary, but apart from James's date of death, I know nothing else about him.
I know they were married in 1914, in Edinburgh, and that they had 3 children, but I only have the name of the youngest child Christopher, who was born May 31st, 1921. I don't know names of the other 2 though one might have been called Patrick as I remember hearing my Father speak of "Paddy", which I presume is short for Patrick.
Sorry I can't be more specific about where James came from
Regards
Margaret

Hello Margaret

Scottish information (as well as Irish I'm afraid) is not easy to locate always.  I will do my best to see if there is anything I can find for you.

Once, again, check back here soon to see if I've had any luck.

As a matter of interest Margaret, and out of curiosity, can you tell me Mary's maiden name?  It might sound trivial but could be quite helpful.

Many thanks.
