I'm looking for any information on Edward and Mary Vaughan that were both born in Ireland.  Edward was born in 1808 and Mary in 1812.  They had 14 children.  They came to America in 1838.  For three years they live in New York City.  Then they moved to McHenry County, Illinois until their death.  Edward passed away in 1866 and Mary passed away in 1861.  Their son James A. Vaughan that was born in Ireland in 1829 lived in Wisconsin for a while and then came to Waseca county in 1873.  He married Catherine O'Lochlin in 1859 in Fox Lake Wisconsin.  Catherine O'Lochlin was also born in Ireland on July 26, 1846.  Catherines parents were John & Honora O'Lochlin.  James & Catherine Vaughan had eight children.  And their oldest daughter Hanorah Elizabeth born on Oct. 3, 1862 in Wisconsin  married John Cornelius Mulcahey on October 23, 1882 in Janesville, Minnesota. and Hanorah passed away on Jan. 25, 1937 in Janesville, Mn.  Any information on this family I would be happy to receive.
Thanks,
Carol

Mike thanks for this information.  Not real sure on this family.  I don't know if there was a child named Bridget.  In the history it just says they had 14 children of which some was dead.  So I don't really know how many came to America.  And all I know is James was born in Ireland in 1831.  Maybe if some how we could get information from McHenry County in Illinois it might name the children.  Or if we could find the Manifest of the ship they came on.

The name up above is suppose to be spelled O'Locklin.  It has a k instead of a h in the name.  Sorry about that.
Carol
