Seeking whatever help I can get in finding my Patrick RYAN born ca 1843-1846 Kilkenny, Ireland to parents Patrick RYAN AND Mary LAWLOR .   Patrick Senior was a Lime-burner - they were probably Catholic.

 

Patrick Junior may have arrived Western Australia ca 1862-65? married Johanna Leahy in Singleton, NSW, Australia in 1866.   His death cert (1918) said he was aged 72 and  had been 50 years in NSW & 3 years in WA but of course we don't know whether he arrived in NSW or WA. If he arrived WA  (1862) & stayed 3  years before coming to NSW ca 1865 - 1866? he would have been aged 16 when he arrived.   He was said to have been 23 when he married .   It's all a bit confusing isn't it?

 

Otherwise he may have arrived nsw - married Johanna - then they went to Western Australia for 3 years and then returned to nsw?  Johanna's death certificate states she was 55 years in NSW, and doesn't mention WA .

 

A bit like looking for a needle in a haystack but trying anyway.

 

Any help will be much appreciated.
