confectioners Sugar Replacement recipe

Yield: 4 cups (1000 mL)

2 cups (500 mL) nonfat dry milk powder
2 cups (500 mL) cornstarch
1 cup (250 mL) granulated sugar

Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender. Whip until well blended and powdered.

Exchanges: 1/4 cup (60 mL): 1 bread 1/2 nonfat milk or 1/2 bread

Calories 1/4 cup (60 mL): 81

Homemade Powdered Sugar

Ingredients

1 cup granulated sugar

Directions

Blend 1 cup of granulated sugar in blender until desired powder
is produced.  Easy and much less expensive than store bought
powdered sugar!

Chocolate Powdered Sugar

 

2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa

In a small bowl stir together powdered sugar and unsweetened cocoa.

NOTE: Chocolate Powdered Sugar is quite light in color. Dark chocolate cookies show it off best.
