Italian Delight
8 oz. macaroni (2 cups)
Cook according to directions and drain; set aside

1 large onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 teasp. salt
2 cloves garlic (optional)
2 lb. hamburger

Then add:
2 cans tomato sauce
1 can corn,drained
small can of mushroom, Drained
1 cup grated (sharp or mild) cheddar cheese
1T. brown sugar
1T. worchestershire sauce
1T. chili powder

Cook the first five ingredients together until the hamburger is no longer pink and then drain thoroughly.
(I generaly use the 90% or 93%  fat-free hamburger and then after draining the best I can, I often put it all on a paper towel to finish  draining.)

After adding the rest of the ingredients, simmer for about 5 minutes and then stir in the macaroni.
Refrigerate or freeze.

When ready to serve: Heat in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes or until hot through.

I generally make this ahead of time and it freezes very well.
Occasionally I double the recipe.
Serves     8-10.
