Cranberry bread
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tablespoons shortening
3/4 cup water plus 3 Tablespoons tang
1 egg beaten
1 cup cranberries (cut in 1/4)
add nuts
Heat oven 350 - grease loaf pans - blend dry ingredients,
mix in all rest. Pour in pan - bake 1 hour.
Test with toothpick in center
cool 15 minutes then turn pan upside down on plate.
This freezes really good -
I make ahead of time for Christmas and holidays - when unexpected company drops by - take one out let it thaw at least partially then stick in microwave - delish!!
