Dear Betty,

I am going to have the greatest time being a part of GrannysPlace.  I love it!
God has led me to the right group.  I think all of us writers can relate to the fact that we do need feedback and encouragement for the words we pour our heart into.

It is a wonderful plus to be able to know something about you and your sister Redda.
I feel a close connection from sharing a part of your life with you. I have a sister also that I grew up with, and I will post, one day soon, a story I wrote titled "Sisters".

God bless you, Betty & Redda, I feel I have found  friends to enhance the retirement years of my life.

Love,
Shirley

thank you Shirley, we are blessed to have you here, too!! yes, writer's do need others in-put to their writing, other wise we may just think we can write

I only write when the Holy Spirit inspires me. If I didn't wait upon the Spirit, it would take me a month to write one line. After I had gone to bed (I think it was on Wednesday night) and as I was dosing off a poem came to me. Seems like it was 12 or 14 lines, I didn't get up and write it down the next morning I couldn't remember a line
Redda and I both have been writing since we were children, she is very good! something we got from our mother.

I would love to read the story of your Sister, when you are ready to share it. You do great work, I too feel the connection..it's God  given talent.

God bless your pen, love Betty

I am impressed at how great the spirit is a part of you and your sister's writing.

The expression of tears has always adorned my worship of Jesus and I have that when I read your words.

I will post "Sisters" next week.  In actuality, the story is centered around our growing up days at Grandma's and Grandpa's (my mother's parents) in Jourdanton, Texas.

Love,
Shirley
