To (my baby) Beth

When death took my baby’s baby

there was nothing I could do,

this pain I could not kiss away

For I was hurting too.

I recall, when she was a toddler

she would bring her doll to me, saying

“Kiss the baby mommy�?

as she crawled upon my knee.

O how I wished I could rock her now,

and kiss the baby too

But, my baby has lost her baby,

and there is nothing I can do.

Sis this is sooo beautiful!! I'm so sorry that I missed seeing this when you first posted it

..but I still think it deserves this award.
