My heart it was broken that awful night, And yet peace remained in my soul; As I stood before God in my anguish and fright, And I saw His compassion unfold. In His mercy and love His heart reached out to mine, And His comfort surrounded me fast, As my heart cried in anguish, with His it entwined, And He whispered, "This too, it will pass." |

Yes, the Lord is the only one to turn to in a time like that. Hayley was 7 years old, and quite healthy. She choked on her own vomit, but we didn't know until the inquest what caused her death. She didn't show any signs of choking, she just stopped breathing! It was really weird. BUT - she loved Jesus so much, she once told me He was her very best friend. After she died, many of our neighbours came crying to us, telling us how she would always tell them how Jesus loved them. We didn't know that she had been doing that. Isn't it wonderful to hear these things? God can use the little children, and I think they are often more convincing because of their innocence and child-like faith. Love you, and I hope that any who have lost a child (or any other loved one, I've lost both my parents, and when I was 16, my 19 year-old sister was killed in a laboratory where she worked) - can turn to our Heavenly Father for the comfort that He so willingly and lovingly gives. gummygran1 |
